I don’t know about you but I like to avoid extra trips to the store whenever possible. As a child I never realized why it was a big deal for my parents to drive me places. Now that I have kids I get it! I’m tired of driving, that’s why! To work, activities, to the store, back to the store because I forgot the ONE thing I went for. Oh and to the gym seven days a week. Ok, that one is a lie. This chocolate sauce came about when we wanted chocolate milk but had no desire to pack up and head out. It’s so simple you can have it done in less time than it takes to find the car keys!
Chocolate sauce for milk
Serves: 1 cup
Ingredients
- ¾ cup evaporated milk
- ½ cup chocolate chips
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
- ¼ tsp vanilla
Instructions
- In a small sauce pan over low-medium heat pour in a half can of evaporated milk. Add a handful of chocolate chips, a teaspoon of sugar (brown, white or coconut) a teaspoon of cocoa powder and just a tiny drizzle of vanilla. Whisk until melted and smooth. Transfer to a container and store in the fridge for up to a week.
