S’mores! We plan on making them but never usually follow through. In fact I always seem to have lovely ideas for the first night out camping. We’ll get there and eat a leisurely meal at the picnic table, then head out to the park, throw some rocks into the River, skip holding hands, you get the picture. But in reality, Friday nights we’re usually ready for bed at 7pm and never seem to get to the actual fire part. This week I decided to surprise the kids with S’mores dip. It’s been raining on and off all week so I figured they could use something fun and messy! Plus I thought this would make up for some of those missed nights by the fire. It’s a cinch to make with only a handful of ingredients and the kids (and parents) love it!
Whether you’re rained out or just missed out, stay indoors and whip up this dip for your next night in!
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- In a medium sized sauce pan, melt the chocolate chips with the sweetened condensed milk. Stir in the marshmallows until fully incorporated.
- Spread the chocolate mixture in a small oven proof dish
- Top with the remaining marshmallows and place under the broiler until the marshmallows puff up and become golden brown, about 1 minute.
- Serve with Graham crackers for dipping
