These little guys are chocolate peanut butter energy bites. Dates seem to be the trend right now, or so it seems. They might be old news and I just think it’s current. I’m hip like that. Referring to myself as hip drives my point home nicely I think.
As part of a swag bag, I received a package of Medjool dates. Perfect time to get on board!
I used natural peanut butter only because I had it in the fridge. Normal peanut butter works just fine too.
They will be hidden in the back of the fridge with a “Hands off” sticky note attached.
- 6 dates, pitted
- 10 whole pecans
- 1 tbsp natural peanut butter
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
- In a blender, processor or bullet pulse the dates, pecans, peanut butter and cocoa powder until fully combined.
- Roll the mixture into bite size balls and store in the fridge.

Such a simple but delicious sounding recipe! I have all the ingredients to make this, going to try it this week. I ccould always use a little energy boost in the afternoons 🙂
