How did October 23rd sneak up so fast? Almost Halloween! All the costumes have been picked out, candy is purchased (eaten then purchased again) and I’ve decorated the house 99%. My mom and I are traveling out of town to visit some family this weekend so I wanted to get it all done before we left.
My mom just happens to be the best traveling companion. She doesn’t judge my need for traveling snacks, room service or the mini fridge stocked with cheesecake. We both have horrible sense of direction so I’m making a note right now to bring the GPS! A few flights, rental vehicle and two hotels all in one weekend. Should be rushed and really fun!…
I’ll admit, I’m not super upset when my kids don’t want to eat everything I make. Oh you mean you don’t want any of these delicious shanghai noodles and I have to eat it again tomorrow? Darn, let me make you a grilled cheese while I silently do a happy dance. Yesssss!
I’m ok with them being picky at times because I once had a serious Chef Boyardee mini ravioli obsession in my life and turned out liking nearly everything. Except gross things like Liver. It’s not allowed in my moms house and certainly not in mine! I’d like to acknowledge my Grandma, who used to cook ravioli for me every time I went to visit. Plus gave me full access to her blue and pink eyeshadow. What a fun apartment that was!…
I could have easily named this “Quit being a hoarder” skillet cookie. I went through my baking stash last night to find partial bags everywhere! Plus a bag of marshmallows fell on my head. Time to clean out the cupboards!
