It’s always such a treat when Friday doesn’t take forever to arrive. I was actually shocked that it snuck up on me this week! I’m just hoping the weekend doesn’t go as fast. We’ve got a birthday party to attend, a breakfast date with Grandma and Grandpa and other than that, sweet, sweet nothing!

It’s hard to avoid the pink and red at every store these days. I’m sure I saw those boxes come out as soon as January 1st rolled around. We barely have time to recover from the indulgent days of December before we’re thrown back into chocolate overload.
I will be first to admit I am not really a fan of Valentine’s day. We used to take our Winter getaway around the 14th each year, avoiding most of the cards, chocolates and red roses. The last few years we’ve had to change our holidays so we’re here and might as well eat a cookie about it!…
Where has the time gone? This will probably be my last post for November! I’m surprised I got anything done this month though, we are new puppy owners! Mavis joined us just before Halloween and I’ve felt like we’ve had a newborn the last few weeks. Here she is enjoying the first snow fall.

I could have easily named this “Quit being a hoarder” skillet cookie. I went through my baking stash last night to find partial bags everywhere! Plus a bag of marshmallows fell on my head. Time to clean out the cupboards!
I was able to make a small dent in the collection and used up four bags. Any combination will do, just keep it to about 1 1/2 cups total “stuff” …
