Hurray for Summer and nice cream! Nice cream is a magical “ice cream” made from frozen bananas. I think they might call it nice because it’s totally guilt free! I think it’s entirely possible I fell into a chocolate coma with this one. I made this trifle for Litehouse awhile back and I totally forgot to post the recipe here! I can’t even believe it because this chocolate covered strawberry brownie trifle is out of this world! Going into creating this one I had a feeling it would be pretty good. Brownies that soak in a bit so some pieces taste more like cake, chocolate mousse, vanilla mousse, fresh strawberries, plus a homemade strawberry sauce all topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. It is hands down my favorite dessert in a long time. We gave some away but mostly my husband I just ate this over a weekend with no guilt whatsoever. I’d do it again in a heart beat!…

Halloween is here and it’s my favourite part of fall! Is it because of mini chocolate bars? I’ll never tell! (it is)
This year like every year we’ll try to get the kids to eat a normal dinner before we head out for some door to door trick or treating. At least we’ve tried before they go completely crazy stuffing themselves with candies, chips and chocolate. We usually start around our house then make our way by car over to both sets of grandparents. By then we’ve walked through enough neighborhoods and snow that we’re ready to warm up. That’s right, it’s full blown winter here! Nothing completes a princess costume better than a pair of winter boots….
Deep fried chocolate bar anyone? I can’t even believe I made these! The kids thought they won some sort of prize when I told them what was going on. We’ve been watching shows that feature carnival foods lately so I blame food tv for this one….
